COUNCIL FOR RESPONSIBLE POLITICAL BEHAVIOUR STARTS MONITORING OF 2026 THA ELECTION CAMPAIGN

 

The Council for Responsible Political Behaviour has been directed to start the process of monitoring the THA 2026 election campaign to evaluate all political parties, candidates and their supporters as to their adherence to the Code of Ethical Political Conduct.

The Code of Ethical Political Conduct has been in existence since 2014 and calls upon all political parties, candidates and supporters to participate in the election campaign in a manner that upholds the integrity of the electoral process by maintaining the highest moral principles and ethical standards, whilst avoiding prohibited conduct.

​

Monitoring will begin on Monday December 15, 2025, when a reconstituted Council for Responsible Political Behaviour, inclusive of two (2) Tobagonians, will be announced, in Tobago, by Council Chair, Dr Bishnu Ragoonath.
